I haven't visited this blog in some time. I plan on applying to this years Upper Arlington "Art in the park" art show. Hopefully they will let me in since it's a juried show. This is a great way for an artist to get noticed and make a little money. I'll keep you posted.
I'm looking for advice on how an artist can get exposure. I now have many Acrylic paintings I'd like to start selling as well as promoting myself as an artist.
Ad guy for 25 years and painter. I'm an Art Director by trade. I now manage a creative group for a Pharmaceutical ad agency called The Navicor Group. I've attended countless art shows selling my wife's work. She is a fiber artist who now has a small gallery space that she and a friend operate in Delaware Ohio called the Art Loft (artloft59.com). I've been painting watercolor and acrylic for thirty years. I now have some acrylic paintings that have a different look from anything I've ever done. The chicken image on my blog is a good example of my new style. Being an artist is a journey. You never know what's around the corner and in your next painting.
